Kybella Treatment
Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment specifically designed to target and reduce submental fat, commonly known as a “double chin.” It contains deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.
During a Kybella treatment session, we inject the solution directly into the fat beneath the chin using a series of small injections. The deoxycholic acid in Kybella works to destroy fat cells in the targeted area. Over time, the body naturally processes and eliminates these fat cells, resulting in a reduction in the appearance of submental fullness.
Multiple Kybella treatment sessions may be necessary to achieve the desired results, depending on the amount of submental fat and the individual response to the injections. These sessions are typically spaced several weeks apart.
